Bubble Tent in Storm
“Whatever it is, I just need to mark a start. That is my motto after I have decided to restart my art journey. I had the opportunity for a field trip. I want to paint in real time, paint what I see and feel. We rented a dome tent spontaneously. That day was the worst weather in months. Storming while painting inside is rather a romance and luxury. Rain drops, plastic canopy, sound, and me.”
— Artist’s Brief
This painting records the moment of being inside during storm. When the rain accumulate, paddles forms on the grassy ground. It reflects all the daylight that has been dimmed. I want to capture the colourfullness and warmth of inside while everything outside goes dim and grey.
